The Inn at Monticello carries on a tradition of gracious southern hospitality on 5 wooded acres, with mature trees shading the house, and a pristine creek running through the stately grounds. The Inn has five guestrooms, all with private baths, and a separate Cottage that is sometimes available for guests. Several rooms have fireplaces and some have private porches. All are decorated with antique or reproduction furniture from the colonial or Victorian eras. In the fall and winter, guests often enjoy a glass of wine by the hearth in the living room. In the spring and summer, they love to sit on the front porch while being entertained by the birds and the deer.
We enjoy an ideal location for exploring nearby historic sites, and enjoying the arts and natural beauty of Charlottesville and surrounding area. We are situated just five minutes from Monticello, the home of Thomas Jefferson, and Ashlawn-Highland, the home of James Monroe; and less than ten minutes from the Historic Downtown Pedestrian Mall and the University of Virginia. The beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains and more than twenty Virginia wineries are within 30 minutes.
The Inn at Monticello serves a full gourmet breakfast. Start your morning with an early cup of our signature coffee or tea, read the paper, and then enjoy a delicious breakfast consisting of juice, fresh fruit, home-baked breads, muffins or coffee cake, eggs, pancakes, or waffles, and sausage or bacon. Breakfast menus are always designed to make the most of seasonally available specialties. Special dietary needs are met with advanced request.
